Here is an easy low fat, sugar-free Sorbet recipe that doesn't need an Ice cream freezer:
You will need:
Any berries you have, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, or cherries
I had a can of cherries in syrup that I wanted to use up. I blended it for just a few seconds. If you are in a hurry, just leave the cherries whole, (use the whole can, juice included).
2 packets of any type of berry, or cherry sugar- free Jello
1 and 1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water, if using fresh fruit
2 cups milk (low fat, 1%, 2%, whole, or half & half)
Empty Jello packets into large mixing bowl
Pour in boiling water, and stir until dissolved
Add cold water (if using fresh fruit)
Let cool a few minutes
Stir in berries and milk
Pour into metal cake pan, cover
Put in freezer at least 2 hours, or more until the outside few inches start to freeze
Cut up or stir, and serve.
If there is any left, transfer to a freezer-safe sealed container. (Maybe a recycled ice cream container).
